How fun is this Conversation Hearts ice cream for Valentine’s Day! And trust me, your kids will love making it with you. This ice cream is vanilla flavored, but you can also add mint or other flavors depending on your taste.
Conversation Hearts Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1-2 drops red food coloring (optional)
- ½ cup sugar
- Conversation Hearts
- Ice Cream Maker (optional)
Directions:
In a medium bowl combine the milk and sugar. Whisk the milk and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add the whipping cream, vanilla, and red food coloring and whisk until all the ingredients are combined.
If you are using an ice cream maker, pour mixture into the freezer bowl and let it mix for 25 minutes. Fold in 1 cup (or more!!) of Conversation Hearts. Transfer to freezer safe container and keep frozen.
Note: if you do not have an ice cream maker, pour the base into a freezer safe container and freeze until soft, fold in 1 cup of Conversation Hearts and continue to freeze overnight.
