With Mother’s Day just around the corner, these personalized candles for mom are just perfect! They are super easy to make and you only need a few supplies.
Supplies:
- White pillar candle
- White tissue paper
- Markers or paint
- Wax paper
Directions:
Cut a strip of tissue paper to fit the height and circumference of your candle. Have your child “gently” color with markers or paint on it. Allow to dry completely.
Once tissue paper has dried, wrap it around your candle and hold in place (artwork facing out).
Take a strip of wax paper that is a bit longer — this creates a handle so that when you are using the blow dryer you don’t burn your hands. I would have an adult do this part.
Using the blow dryer on medium to high heat, apply the heat to the wax paper that is now wrapped around your tissue paper design. You will see, as the wax melts, the tissue paper starts to disappear.
Allow candle to cool off and gently peel away the wax paper.
Now you have a BEAUTIFUL homemade candle Mom can enjoy!
