Halloween candy is so fun to use as decoration. Look what I made today to hang over my Halloween buffet table… a candy pumpkin chandelier. It was so easy to make and looks so cool hanging in my dining room (although my daughter keeps trying to steal the pumpkins)!
- Foam ring (6 inch diameter)
- Candy pumpkins (I used 30)
- 28 gauge wire
- Black tulle cut into 2 inch strips.
- Black ribbon
Cut 6 pieces of wire into 18-24 inches long strands. I like to vary the length of the strands.
Using a needle, poke holes into each of the candy pumpkins from top to bottom.
Tie a knot at the end of one of the pieces of wire.
Thread a candy pumpkin onto the wire.
Tie another knot in the wire about 3 inches above the first pumpkin.
Thread another candy pumpkin.
Repeat until you added 5 pumpkins to the strand. Repeat until you have 6 strands.
Tie the wires onto the foam ring.
Wrap the ring with strips of tulle until completely covered. Attach with pins or Glue Dots.
Tie ribbons onto the ring to hang.
If you’ve made any candy decorations for Halloween, I’d love to see them. Please email me a photo at jillian(at)catchmyparty(dot)com.
