Hi everyone, it’s Melissa here, sharing tips on easy ways to set up your July 4th party tables. I am taking the table from an adult theme to a child’s theme in a few easy steps, making the entertaining easy, and giving you more time to spend with the guests!
The first tablescape is for your adult crowd. I used a vintage tablecloth, although not patriotic in pattern, it is in color and looks great on my table. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your linens! Think outside the box!

Each setting has layered plates, mix and matching the patterns and colors.

Coupled with that, are inexpensive small buckets that hold your cloth napkin, wooden utensils, and a paper fan for each guest.

BONUS TIP: Using these tins allows you to reuse them for Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July and any other patriotic holiday – great investment!

Making the switch to the table for the children is super easy. I changed out the plates for some paper plates, keeping the layering pattern going. I added some licorice to the tins as a fun treat, along with their napkins, fans, and wooden utensils.

Along with the festive (store bought) cupcakes, I added a couple of small gumball machines filled with coordinating colors to the centerpiece (mine are just for looks, as I reuse my gumballs for several parties – I like the look but not what they do to my children’s teeth).

Trying to keep with my “less sugar” theme this year, I found some pins for the children that I used for table “scatter.”

As you can see, changing a few items at your table you can go from an adult theme to a children’s theme in no time flat!
