Before I bake something, I usually ask myself four questions:
- How delicious?
- How hard?
- How much time?
- How easy to clean up?
The answers I hope for are: heavenly, simple, quick, and a snap.
And guess what? I have found it—the perfect dessert recipe… Snickers Bar Monkey Bread!
Who doesn’t love Snickers — the combo of chocolate, peanuts, and caramel?
Plus, this recipe is simple to make, and ooey-gooey delicious!
Snickers Bar Monkey Bread
- Servings: 12
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cooking Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 containers of biscuit dough
- 3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed peanuts
- Cooking spray
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350F.
Cut each piece of biscuit dough into quarters. Toss the pieces in granulated sugar to coat, and stir in half the chocolate chips.
Put the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, and heat on high for about 30 seconds. Stir in the brown sugar and microwave for another 30 seconds. Repeat one more time and you should have a nice basic caramel sauce.
Here comes the most important step. Spray cooking spray liberally inside a 12-cup fluted or Bundt cake pan. Coat every inch. The sugar will want to stick to your pan, but if you really cover it, it will help keep the monkey bread from sticking.
Add the biscuit pieces to the pan, and pour the caramel sauce over the top. Bake for 25 minutes. While the pan is still hot, carefully turn the pan over onto your serving plate.
On top, I sprinkled the crushed peanuts and remaining chocolate chips! And it turned out so sweet, chewy, sticky, crunchy, chocolaty, salty, and delicious!
Sticky gooey dessert = happy Mommy!
