Today, we went to the Maker Faire in San Mateo, CA. The Maker Faire is “part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new.” It’s as if Burning Man, Google, and an artisan pickle maker had a baby.
It’s for all types of makers, in every field imaginable, and because I think of myself as a “maker,” I find the whole thing incredibly inspiring.
Here are some of my quick highlights…
This was a cool light up board you could adjust with magnetic lights.
Here are some adorable paper crafts people were selling.
I loved the clothing made from duct tape.
We got to explore a forest of fluorescent blow-up trees.
How cool is this life-size Monopoly board?
Here I’m letting a camera show me my mood. The camera and I both agreed I was quite happy (thanks to my happy tummy).
We love the Maker Faire and can’t wait to go back next year!
