I love the Oscars because I get to chime in on what dresses I would die to wear! So here are my favorites…

Taraji P. Henson, what a way to announce yourself. Your Roberto Cavalli dress looked floaty and effortless and the fit was perfecto.

Natalie Portman, you look flawless in your Rodarte. It was simple, sleek, with a enough going on to make it interesting. And what girl doesn’t love hot pink?!

Marisa Tomei. Wow. That Versace Atelier dress was my favorite of the night by far!!! I loved the fit, the train, the workmanship. You sold it, girl! Fabulous job.

My Favorite Dresses at the Golden Globes

I love award shows even though I never watch them. For me it’s all about the dresses. I sit down at my computer as soon as the first limo arrives, and watch the photos as they stream in. I will religiously click through hundreds, analyzing each one.

I’m a pretty tough critic, but here are my favorites from the Golden Globes.

Evan Rachel Wood in Elie Saab

She usually looks too pale and underfed for my taste, but here… exquisite!

Kira Sedgewick in Oscar de la Renta

I love the belt, I love the fit. I even… like the color. Kira Sedgewick has been on my favorite list before.

Sandra Bullock in Dior

Not so wild about the hair, but God, does that dress look great. Perfect!

Kate Winslet in Yves St. Laurent

It was her night, and she looked like a movie star. The fit on this dress was flawless.

Olivia Wilde in Reem Acra

I’ve never watched “House,” but whoever she is, I think she looks amazing. I love the color, the fit, and the flowy-ness.

Kate Beckinsale in J. Mendel

I think she looks like a yet-to-open lily (and I mean that as a compliment).
