Equipment

  • 1 Microwave

Ingredients

  • 6 cups microwave Popcorn
  • 10 oz marshmallows
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 6 drops pink food coloring
  • 1 cup valentines M&Ms
  • ¼ cup Valentine's Day sprinkles
  • 8 candy Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts
  • 3 spritz cooking spray

Instructions

  • Make 6 cups of plain popcorn in the microwave following the instruction on the bag.
  • Before melting the butter in the microwave, add a few drops of pink food coloring.  It should turn a beautiful shade of pink.
  • In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on high for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Because microwaves vary, you might need to repeat this step. Stir until smooth.
  • Add popcorn. Stir until well coated.
  • Spray cooking spray on your hands and form into marshmallow balls.
  • Place in paper baking cups so they are easily portable.
  • Place M&Ms and candy hearts on the balls.
  • Finish them off with a Reese's Peanut Butter Heart or any other heart candy. And voila!

Notes

  • Feel free to use other colored food coloring, if you wish.
  • Make sure your hands are well coated before handling the marshmallow popcorn
  • Add M&Ms and other heart decorations to the outside of the balls instead of mixing them in with the melted marshmallows.
