Lime Margarita Cookie

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
- 2 each eggs
- 2 tbsp tequila
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp lime zest
- ½ cup sanding sugar
Preheat oven to 350F.Add the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder into a bowl, mix, and set aside. Add the softened (room temperature) butter, eggs, sugar, tequila, lime juice, and zest in another bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on high for about 2 minutes.
Roll about 2 tablespoons of dough into a ball, then roll in the sanding sugar. Place on a baking sheet, leaving lots of space for the cookies to spread.
Bake at 350F degrees. Take them out when the edges start to brown, about 10-12 minutes.
