Quick and Easy Funfetti Cake Mix Donuts

This funfetti donut recipe is so delicious, simple, and that a mom would love!!

Ingredients

  • for the donuts
  • 1 box Funfetti Cake Mix
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • for the glaze
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup of rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  • Add the eggs, oil, and buttermilk to a large bowl and whisk until completely combined. Whisk in the cake mix.
  • Place donut batter into a large Ziploc bag. Cut one end and pipe the donuts in the donut pan.
  • Bake for 8 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • For the glaze, add the powdered sugar to a mixing bowl. Pour in the milk, add the vanilla, then whisk until smooth.
  • Now here comes the ooey, gooey messy part. Dip the donuts into the glaze. Place on a cooling rack. Let the glaze dry, then double-dip. Trust me, it makes the glaze thicker and whiter.
  • Add sprinkles to the tops of each donut.

Notes

We chose to use boxed Funfetti cake mix as our base and some buttermilk to make the donuts extra moist and tender.
